Laws should treat the root cause…

Someone who steals may not be dishonest. He could have stole to feed his family. So why put him in jail when we can treat the root cause by giving him a job?

Someone who murders may not be violent. He may have done that to protect himself because the law cannot protect him. So why put him in jail when we should treat the root cause to understand the reasons behind that?

Drug traffickers may trafficking drugs for various reasons. Some do it to help a friend as some drugs treat ailments including depression, some do it as they need the money… So why a death penalty when they have cheated nobody, hurt nobody or harmed nobody?

Corruption is different. If they have enough money to be corrupt, they would be more than able to protect themselves and feed themselves. If they are willing to accept a bribe, they would have been able to ask for help instead of doing any wrong. These are the true criminals who should be given the death penalty…
